Expressing from a place of the personal and connecting on a personal level is what compels us to make powerful images. Photographs which encompass this exhibition explore the notion of personal narrative through a set or series of photographs that are tableaux or sequential in nature, collectively telling a story. The photographic works that make up a narrative are either sequenced literally or metaphorically by subject matter, concept or aesthetics, creating a personal dialogue with the viewer. We are exhibiting intimate expressions of openly portrayed experiences, thoughts, and emotions concerning one's particular life. We each have a personal story and sharing that narrative through a photo essay is a means to express who we are as unique individuals.
