CALL FOR ENTRIES TERMS AND CONDITIONS

INFORMATION AND ELIGIBILITY

Open to all photographers internationally.

When temperatures drop and our outdoor surroundings become more silent, still and dormant we look to our interior spaces to find warmth and comfort. The leaves fall and the ground becomes frost covered, birds search for berries in the branches, the earth takes a rest. Photographing this winter splendor is for the adventurous at heart and the wonder of it all is worth facing the cold to get those great shots. Images of the bare trees, the snow covered mountains and plains, details of the landscape and warm interior spaces are what will make up the photographs in the Wintertime exhibition. Our attention is drawn indoors as we seek warmth around the hearth with a steaming coffee and a sturdy woolen blanket. All of the details of the feeling of the season are the types of photographs that we are interested in for this upcoming exhibition.

Entries will be considered based upon individual images submitted by each artist. A brief artist statement is optional.

SUBMISSION FORMAT

Select the number of images and click "add to cart". Check out at the PayPal form. Email your photographs to info@mwcponline.org in jpeg format: 72 dpi, at least 3000 x 3000 pixels or larger. Name each file with your name and the corresponding number from the entry information below, for example: smith_jane_1.jpg. List the information requested below in a text document titled with your name. Attach your photographs and info, and email to info@mwcponline.org. Provide the following information in one text document for each image submitted:

NOTIFICATION OF SELECTED PHOTOGRAPHERS

Selected photographers will be posted online at www.mwcponline.com. Our group email will be sent with a list of names of selected photographers. Photographers who entered should check this information for the list of names.

EXHIBITION FORMAT

The format for this exhibition is such that we will not be shipping any artwork. All photographic works will be printed digitally as inkjet prints to hang on the wall for the exhibition in standard size rental frames.

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPATING PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE EXHIBITION

Selected photographers must submit high resolution JPEG files and MWCP will print your exhibition quality image for the exhibition at no cost to you. Prints will be exhibited in standard size frames rented by MWCP for a $20 fee. Exhibition prints will be either 13" X 19" or 16" X 24" if rectangle, and either 10" X 10" or 20" X 20" if square. Other standard frame sizes are also available. Frame sizes will be determined by gallery director. After the close of the exhibition, photographers have the option to purchase the print(s) , or the framed print(s) at our standard service pricing and we will ship it to you. We will not be shipping prints to photographers unless the charge for print(s) and shipping costs have been paid. Remaining prints will be featured for sale in the gallery flat files for a period of one year. After the end of the one year period, prints will remain in the MWCP permanant collection, or discarded at the request of the photographer. Photo copyright remains with the photographer at all times.

ASSOCIATED FEES AND INFORMATION

Not all artists who enter the call for entries will be selected for the exhibition, and aritsts who are selected may not have all individual images chosen to be included in the exhibition. Frame rental fees must be paid before the photograph(s) will be exhibited in the gallery. There is a 40% gallery commission for work sold. MWCP reserves the right to reproduce images for promotional and publication purposes, if necessary. Not all photographers who enter the call for entries will be selected for the exhibition, and photographers who are selected may not have all individual images chosen to be included in the exhibition. Any files that differ significantly from the entry, arrive at the gallery after the deadline, or is sub-standard quality will be disqualified from the exhibit. Photographers must provide payment for shipment if purchasing their printed work, MWCP is not responsible for any shipping charge, work is handled with professional care, MWCP cannot be responsible for damage or loss during shipping. Email addresses will be added to our email list. Entry fees are non-refundable, no exceptions. Certain aspects of the exhibition may be subject to change due to unforseen circumstances.
